Web3 Community Administrator

About the Role

Web3 Community Administrators at Cartan Group are generalists with responsibility for supporting our clients through various public forms, support inboxes, and moderating project proposals and grant processes. As a Web3 Operations Administrator, you will manage all aspects of our client projects which will require a strong understanding of Web3 infrastructure, tools and trends, as well as a practical sense of what works and what does not.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, collaborative, and execution focussed individual who can support multiple initiatives and workstreams. You should have an entrepreneurial drive to overcome obstacles and achieve team-wide goals. We are looking for a problem solver, creative thinker and detail orientated. Ownership mentality is a must, someone who can roll up their sleeves, hit the ground running, and have no task too small for them.

Your Day-To-Day Will Involve

  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive online environment for community members
  • Assist with managing and moderating various communication platforms (forums, social media, Discord, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with platform rules and community guidelines
  • Gather community proposals ensuring they adhere to client specifications
  • Support with pre- and post-grant administration
  • Assist with tracking the status of Grants throughout different stages, from application to milestone reporting
  • Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices
  • Utilising GitHub to understand and assess code quality, reviewing pull requests, examine commit history, and analyse code changes
  • Ensure any proposals that have passed to vote are escalated to the appropriate mediums and channels and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the project manager, moderators, and analysts to ensure the timely submission of community proposals to the relevant committees
  • Obtain an understanding of relevant business areas to be able to ensure all proposals provide sufficient information for our analysts to provide well researched recommendations
  • Assist with data management and organisation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, developments, and news within the Web3 space to provide valuable insights to clients and teams
  • Continuously explore new tools and platforms to enhance both community engagement and client processes

About You

  • Understanding of development languages such as Move, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and;
  • Knowledge with Web3 libraries and frameworks
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git; ability to read and understand GitHub repositories
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, highly organised
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ownership mentality
  • You have great customer service skills like responsiveness, follow-through, and empathising with customer needs. Taking care of customers is a high priority for you. You’re not afraid to ask for help or escalate a task if you find yourself stuck, but you take the time to learn so that you can take on the same task yourself if it comes up again
  • Demonstrate broad understanding across the virtual asset landscape, and comfortable to own or be a go-to expert on a vertical, such as Defi, NFT/Metaverse, Infrastructure, or Layer 1/2 Protocol
  • Strong ability to manage multiple timelines and processes while being detailed-oriented
  • Strong ability and enthusiasm for writing documentation and creating presentations
  • Able to work comfortably with a significant amount of ambiguity with ability to provide clarity of direction despite this

Bonus Points

  • Demonstrated passion and deep understanding of emerging trends within the industry via participation in web 3.0 or other forms of self-directed learning
  • Experience with virtual asset research, analysis, and other types of content
