Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for leading, creating, implementing and executing a quality strategy and testing plan as well as suggesting solutions to identified software quality problems. You will gain unique insight into how the existing financial ecosystem works across borders, significantly advance your financial-domain knowledge, and be fully immersed with international hubs of global commerce.

You take complete ownership of the technical implementation of projects and ensure that no stone is left unturned to avoid risks. You take quality very seriously and work to quantify and evaluate new ways of measuring quality to ensure application uptime and a positive user experience, and that we continue to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Your Day-To-Day Will Involve

  • Collaborate in the design of QA framework & processes within the software development engineering team
  • Plan, create, manage and execute the overall Quality and Test strategy
  • Create automated tests and own the framework(s) to manage and support these tests
  • Create detailed test plans and test cases for the features in collaboration with the development team
  • Test features and identify bugs/issues through structured and exploratory testing approaches
  • Perform end-to-end regression tests, uphold product quality and deliver occasional smoke tests
  • Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
  • Ensure that the final product satisfies the product requirements and meet end-user expectations
  • Be involved in product requirements, management and design meetings
  • Work to quickly become well-versed in the engineering team product/domain space
  • Document and track test information including test results, bug descriptions and bug reproduction instructions, across versions
  • Produce qualitative and quantitative reporting to stakeholders including but not limited to: test coverage, test execution progress, bug counts, bug trends

About You

  • We are looking to grow our team and are looking to add Quality Assurance Engineers with 5 + years quality assurance engineering
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • Experience with a variety of different testing activities such as UI, Security, Performance, Load Testing, TDD, BDD and other
  • Experience creating a test plans, test cases and running manual tests
  • Experience with test management tools (AzureDevops/TestPlans, TestRail, or others)
  • Experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or others)
  • Experience testing APIs and complex UI workflows
  • Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Good time-management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skill
  • Passionate about problem solving and collaborative knowledge sharing
  • Comfortable with quickly learning new platforms or tools
  • Sound development skills in Java, Python or other programming languages

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience in high-growth startups
  • Experience working on Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in related industries: banking and finance
  • Time zone +/- 3 hours from Eastern Standard Time
